if someone is killed in a car doing anything that could be considered irresponsible, it's news. It sells. However, I wouldn't say that I hear stories of "two guys all alone on a straight section of road" (which is what I was referring to in Evan's post) on the news "all the time," but whatever. Just because there might be other vehicles traveling the same stretch of road that "racing" might be taking place on doesn't mean that those "racing" are automatically going to collide head-on with non-racing vehicles. Headlights are pretty easy to spot.
